The cheapest tier gets the same LiteSpeed, the same SSL, the same daily backups and the same unlimited sites and mailboxes as the dearest. Nothing is held back for the people paying more.

What amateurs actually put on it
None of this is video, which is what usually eats a hosting plan. Every one of these fits inside 5 GB SSD with room to spare.
- Your callsign as a domain. A station page, your QSL route, contact details, a gallery. This site is the worked example — it is a callsign domain that grew.
- A club site with addresses that survive the committee.
secretary@,qsl@andchairman@on the club’s own domain, handed on rather than reinvented every time somebody stands down. Unlimited mailboxes are included on this plan — most budget hosts meter them, and that is usually where a club plan gets expensive. - QSL and contact information. Somewhere to point from QRZ, from a card, from a net. Small, static, and with a padlock so it does not look abandoned.
- A published logbook. An ADIF search page or a PHP logbook is well within a cPanel plan.
- Special-event and contest pages. The traffic is bursty — a callsign gets shared and a few hundred people arrive at once. LiteSpeed’s caching is the part that matters there.
- Something currently on a Pi under the stairs. Migration is free and they do it for you, which is the bit that usually stops people moving.
What it is not for
A WebSDR, an SDR audio or IQ stream, a 24/7 receiver feed, or anything else that needs a process running permanently. This is shared hosting: websites, email and ordinary PHP. Those jobs want a VPS, and saying so now is cheaper for both of us than finding out after you have paid.

That is worth exactly as much as the evidence behind it, so here is the evidence rather than the adjective: I wrote the SSTV software this site is mostly about, the aircraft page is my own receiver on my own roof, and microradar is the firmware for the little display next to it.
In practice it means the person reading your ticket knows what a QSL route is, why your gallery is full of 320×256 images, and what you mean by “the club net page”. That is the whole of the difference, and it is a difference in who rather than in what.

What this page is not claiming
The hosting is not radio-specific. It is the same platform and the same infrastructure every Gander Web customer gets — only the storage allocation and the bundled domain are particular to this offer. Nothing about the servers is tuned for amateur radio, and a page implying otherwise would be selling you a story rather than hosting.
99.9% is Gander Web’s published figure, not a measurement made here. This site publishes no uptime or response-time numbers of its own, because it has not measured any. The Service Level Agreement is the document that actually governs it — read that, not this.
Free alternatives exist and are good. GitHub Pages and Cloudflare Pages will host a static station page for nothing, and if that is genuinely all you need there is no case to answer here. What £35 buys is the domain, the mailboxes, cPanel, and somebody to phone.
Shared hosting has limits, and “unlimited” has a policy. Unlimited sites and mailboxes are real and are what the plan says, within the Fair Use Policy. Storage is 5 GB SSD; the 10 GB and 25 GB plans sit above it when you need more.
Is the .co.uk domain really included every year, or just the first?
Every year. The £35 covers twelve months of hosting and the .co.uk registration or renewal, and £35 is what it costs the year after as well. Gander Web's own promise on its hosting page is "the price you see is the price that renews" — there is no introductory rate here that steps up quietly later.
What can I actually put on it?
Anything an ordinary website does: a station page for your callsign, QSL and contact details, a photo gallery, a club site, a published logbook, a contest or special-event page. You get unlimited websites and unlimited email accounts on your own domain, so a club can run secretary@, qsl@ and chairman@ from one plan and keep them when the committee changes.
Can I run a WebSDR or stream audio from my receiver?
No — and it is better to say so before you pay than after. This is cPanel shared hosting with 5 GB SSD of storage, two cores and 2 GB of RAM. It suits websites, email and ordinary PHP applications. A WebSDR, an SDR audio or IQ stream, or anything that needs a process running around the clock wants a VPS, which is a different product.
How does this compare to the standard hosting plans?
It is the same platform with a different amount of storage. The standard plans come in 1, 10 and 25 GB; this one is 5 GB SSD — five times the entry size — bought as a year with a .co.uk domain included at one price. I already have a site somewhere else. Is moving it a nuisance?
Gander Web migrates it for you at no cost — that is published on its own hosting page as "free website migration, we do it for you". Raise a ticket with your current host's details and it gets moved across.
What uptime do you promise?
This page makes no uptime promise of its own, because it has not measured one. Gander Web publishes 99.9% for its hosting, and the Service Level Agreement is the document that actually governs it — worth reading that before you buy rather than taking a number from a marketing page.
