Copy a received picture

Copy any received picture to the clipboard as a file and paste it into email, chat or a folder — GIFs stay animated, and everything is on disk too.

Any picture the app has received can be copied straight out to the clipboard — paste it into an email, a chat, a folder, wherever.

How

Two Copy buttons:

  • On the Receive screen, in the LATEST PICTURE header (top right of the picture pane).
  • In the full-size viewer (click any picture or gallery card to open it).

One click, and the status line confirms: “Picture copied — paste it anywhere as a file.”

What exactly gets copied

The picture is placed on the clipboard as a file — the same thing Explorer puts there when you copy a file. That’s the most widely-pasteable form there is: file managers, email clients, WhatsApp/Discord/Teams, image editors all accept it.

  • Stills are copied as JPEG.
  • Animated GIFs are copied as the original .gif — they stay animated wherever you paste them.

The files are also just… files

Every received picture is saved to your received folder as a normal image file anyway (the viewer’s Open folder button takes you there), so for bulk work you can skip the clipboard and grab them from disk directly. See Your picture galleries.
