Reception reports — who copied your pictures

When another Open Signal station decodes one of your pictures, it files a reception report with the service: who received it, at what signal quality, on what band and mode. Your app collects these and shows you.

Where to look

The COPIED BY panel in the Transmit options lists each report — receiver, SNR, band, mode and time. A toast pops when a fresh report arrives (that notification can be turned off in Personalise).

Why it’s better than over-air reports alone

The classic on-air signal report needs the other station still on frequency and doesn’t work for hybrid pictures at all. Service-side reports reach you:

• even after you’ve QSYed or shut down for the night,
• for hybrid sends (the RF only carried a link),
• from stations you never heard coming back.

Send a beacon picture in the evening, check the panel in the morning, and you have a propagation survey: who heard you, and how well.

Both directions

Your station files reports automatically too — every picture you successfully decode tells the sender it got through. It’s the polite loop that makes the whole feature work, and it’s on by default.
